Driver Hire Birmingham offers a wide range of great value Driver CPC training that is both pertinent and practical. Our courses run on the third week of each month and take place at Highfield House Business Centre.

We offer the following Driver CPC courses: Fuel Efficient Driving; Driving in the UK; Delivery Driving; Dealing with on-road occurrences; Customer Service; Digital Tachographs; Road Traffic Laws, Health & Safety (introduction); Health Safety (site related).

Our training facilities

Highfield House is a great place to do your Driver CPC training with first-rate facilities that meet all JAUPT requirements. We can take up to 15 delegates per course and also offer off-site training at your depot or head office. Regarding the latter, we would need to undertake a pre-course inspection to ensure that your training facilities meet the required criteria. All off-site training takes place at a weekend.

We provide unlimited free tea, coffee and biscuits during your training. If you’re looking for something more substantial at lunchtime, there are plenty of food outlets and supermarkets within easy walking distance of the Highfield Business Centre.

Travelling to your Driver CPC training course

If you’re travelling by car, there is plenty of free parking in the streets surrounding the Business Centre. Highfield House is also well served by public transport. We are a short walk from both Yardley Wood and Shirley railway stations. Because we’re close to a main arterial road, the area is well served by local bus services.

Our trainer

Mike Harmer has been working for Driver Hire Birmingham for a decade and more. An exceptionally popular and reliable 7.5 tonner driver, he’s a favourite amongst many of our clients. So when we were looking for a new Driver CPC trainer, Mike was an obvious choice. He has bags of hands-on experience, he’s knowledgeable and thorough.

Because he’s still a working driver he understands and appreciates the challenges faced by professional drivers. In the classroom, you’ll find him open and engaging. Mike loves to be asked questions – the more obscure the better! He likes to engage with course delegates and get them involved in what they’re learning.
