Our Training Venue

Driver Hire Stoke has dedicated training facilities suitable to accommodate up to 20 delegates in a comfortable modern training facility on a historic site within Stoke-on-Trent town.  Delegates attending training will benefit from the comfortable surroundings, set within the former site and buildings of the heritage site and world famous Spode pottery factory which originally began at this location in 1770.  (Spode still manufactures high-quality pottery but have modern facilities elsewhere).  There is free parking on site for delegates attending training courses who will also be able to access other features on site, including the café, restaurant, hotel, specialist shops and craft centres.  This town centre location also affords ready access to the usual small town centre shops, stores, and amenities.

Our Trainer

Our resident trainer, Andy Marriott is a former Police Officer with 30 years of experience during which he worked on traffic related matters, (he is a trained and graded advanced Police Driver),  10 years as a Detective and was also much involved in Police training.  Following his retirement, he spent several years as a motorcycle riding instructor, providing instruction to novice riders for their CBT training as well as training to test standards and beyond, before he joined Driver Hire at Stoke, initially as one of their van and light lorry drivers.  When Driver CPC requirements were introduced, Andy was the natural choice to provide driver training and now passes on some of his wealth of knowledge to delegates on Driver CPC courses, First Aid training or Health & Safety courses.
