Robin Gowen has been delivering Driver CPC training since 2012. He’s vastly experienced both as a trainer and a driver. Robin holds category C+E and D licences. He’s been working in the industry for 45 years and still works professionally. That means when it comes to teaching, Robin understands drivers and can put himself in their shoes. His aim is to make every seven hour training session interesting, interactive, informative and fun. That’s why he continues to receive excellent post-course feedback.
“I make sure all drivers introduce themselves at the start of the training session. This helps me gauge the level of knowledge and experience within the group so I can pitch the day’s training accordingly. At one time Driver’s Hours was the most popular module. But these days I find myself teaching a much wider variety of courses including Vulnerable Road Users, The Highway Code and Spotting Hazards and City Driving.”
Another advantage of Driver CPC training at Grangemouth is small class sizes. Our training room accommodates up to eight people, so delegates benefit from almost individual training.
Driver CPC courses usually take place at weekends.
Please be aware that we don’t provide lunch but there is a McDonald’s close by, so you won’t go hungry! In addition plentiful supplies of tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout your training day.
If you prefer – and you have suitable facilities – Robin is quite happy to undertake to undertake training at your own depot.
If you’re travelling by car, there is plenty of free parking on-site. If you prefer to use public transport we’re only five minutes walk from Grangemouth town centre, which is well served by local buses. Falkirk Central Station, our nearest rail connection, is a ten-minute walk.
