Protecting your O-Licence is a major consideration in any transport operation. The Operator Licence Awareness Training course is aimed at transport managers and other non-driving professionals and was developed using industry insight, expertise and experience from Driver Hire’s UK-wide network of professional trainers.
The Transport Manager is ultimately responsible, but all transport personnel have a role to play in keeping up to date with all legal compliance relating to the operation. This OLAT course is specifically designed for transport personnel at all levels, who play an active part in the legal compliance of the operation.
As Operator Licence protection is essential in any transport operation, it’s the responsibility of all transport personnel to keep up to date with all legal compliance, and the OLAT course delivers that. Valuable to any member of transport personnel – at any level – the course provides delegates with up-to-date knowledge of transport legislation, as well as the latest guidance from the Traffic Commission on compliance.
This course also counts towards Driver CPC training (7 hours) and is fully JAUPT approved.
This one-day course will provide up-to-date knowledge of transport legislation as well as the latest guidance from Traffic Commissioners on compliance.

At the end of the course delegates will be required to complete a brief assessment. A Certificate of Achievement will be issued on successful completion of the assessment.
This course also counts as 7 hours towards Driver CPC training.
This course is suitable for HGV licence holders
One-day course, lasting 8 hours, with 1 hour scheduled for lunch.
The online OLAT course is an online interactive training that can be completed remotely from the comfort of delegates’ homes, needing nothing more than an internet connection, laptop, PC or even a smartphone.
Classroom-based courses can be held at the customer’s premises or at various locations throughout the UK.
Head over to our online booking page and select OLAT from the courses drop-down menu to book.
The course was moved into a ‘virtual classroom’ online, as part of Driver Hire’s rapid response to the restrictions placed on classroom-based training. This development has been well received, as it helps transport professionals who need training but find it easier to complete virtually, rather than face-to-face. However, there is also the option to do the course in person or at your premises if you prefer.
