Driver Risk Awareness – Available Online

Driver CPC (Available online)

Whenever a driver gets behind the wheel of a vehicle, they are constantly exposed to risks of varying degrees of severity and it’s the driver’s attitude, knowledge, skill and awareness that prevents them from being involved in collisions or near misses.

Driver Hire’s Driver Risk Awareness module tackles many of the risks a driver would be faced with when driving. From raising awareness of collision rates/locations and the importance of good driver attitude, through to distractions, fatigue and mental wellbeing, this module gives drivers knowledge of a wide range of topics. It is specifically designed to reduce their exposure to incidents and risk.

The course includes:

  • Collision rates
  • What causes risk to drivers
  • Speed awareness
  • Observation and concentration
  • Driver distractions
  • Approaching hazards
  • Weather conditions
  • Mental wellbeing
  • Manoeuvring at low speed
  • Drink/drugs and driving
  • Fuel economy
  • Smart motorways
