Incidents and accidents happen. Professional drivers are perhaps more likely than most to come across situations where knowing the fundamentals of First Aid could make a real difference. The objective of this course is to give delegates the knowledge and skills to carry out appropriate first aid until professional help arrives.

• Respiratory Problems
• Wounds and Bleeding
• Burns and Scalds
• Nervous System Problems
• Other Medical Conditions

Dual accreditation:

Delegates attending this course have the option to gain a recognised First Aid qualification, in addition to completing the hours required for one day of Driver CPC training. The Association of First Aiders certificate is valid for three years.

Course objectives:

By the end of this one-day course, delegates will have gained an understanding of the fundamentals of Emergency First Aid.

Course Suitability

This course is suitable for both HGV and PCV licence holders

Course duration: 7 hours
This full-day course counts as one day’s Driver CPC training.
