Course overview

This course will help to give the delegates a deeper understanding of their EV/hybrid vehicle and how to drive it to maximise the benefits of EV/hybrid vehicle ownership.
The following topics form the basis of the course, but the practical elements can be tailored to cover a particular vehicle.

  • Driving modes
  • Use of the gearbox and regenerative braking
  • Range anxiety
  • Use of speed and acceleration
  • Parking and manoeuvring
  • Maximising range
  • Pedestrian awareness

Course objectives

By the end of the course, the delegate should have a better understanding of their vehicle, including:
  • When to use the different driving modes
  • How to use the regenerative braking system
  • Increasing the electric range of the vehicle
  • How to increase the safety of pedestrians when manoeuvring
  • Using speed and acceleration wisely
