Effective training is the key to improving driving standards and improving road safety.
Our courses draw on a range of techniques that have been proven to give good results in the short, medium and long term. The DriveWise portfolio of services has been designed by experienced professionals to help you manage risk and optimise the performance of your fleet.
We recognise that every fleet – and every driver – is different. This is why we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to Driver Risk Management. We know that every case is unique.
We work with each client, using data from a range of sources, to create a programme that will help your organisation to operate more profitably and more safely. It’s all about helping every driver feel connected to the subject matter – if they see a benefit to themselves or their loved ones they’ll be much more responsive and retain more of the information and techniques shared with them into the future
Our DriveWise services are organised into the following categories:
All DriveWise courses are engaging, interactive and delivered by trained professionals. DriveWise trainers are hand-picked and have a vast array of experience. They are classed as experts in the delivery of advanced driver training – but they’re much more than ‘just’ trainers. They are driving coaches, who listen and discuss different approaches to improve driving standards. It’s about finding the particular technique or training methodology that is most suited to each particular individual.
All of our trainers are experts in the ‘Roadcraft System of Vehicle Control’ -aka, the police driver’s handbook which used a systemised approach that to allow drivers to respond to hazards appropriately. This approach is used and adapted by DriveWise trainers to improve vehicle control techniques, observation, concentration and awareness to create a smooth, flowing drive.
By choosing DriveWise, not only are you helping your employees to become better, safer drivers, you are improving safety for all road users, reducing incidents and gaining the maximum return on your investment to make a real difference to your organisation.
DriveWise works to give all drivers an understanding of the four-level Goals for Driver Education (GDE) matrix:
Many drivers underestimate the importance of journey management and self-aware driving. That’s why we put particular emphasis on those two elements. After all, if drivers are aware of how they might react, they can make allowances and respond differently in the future. Ultimately, a self-aware driver is a safer driver.
