Course objective

Our Fuel Efficient Driving practical course is suitable for all drivers and is designed to give drivers a comprehensive understanding of why driving in a fuel efficient manor is important, along with guidance on the measures that can be taken to improve fuel economy.

Course content

The course begins with a theory session, covering why fuel efficient driving is relevant and important and vehicle safety checks (paying attention to anything that could affect fuel economy, such as excess load, tyre pressure and poor maintenance). There will then be an on-road assessment of the driver’s normal driving style with full debrief and objectives setting. The trainer will then provide a fuel efficient driving demonstration, highlighting how simple changes can make significant improvements to fuel economy.

The training will finish with a full debrief, report writing and feedback, leaving the driver with key tips to concentrate on in the future.
